PASTORAL SUPPORT

Whoever we are, we all need support at different times in our lives. The demands of life can weigh heavy at times and it is good to know that others care.
Jesus invites us to 'love one another' and to 'love your neighbour as yourself' and so we want to be a good neighbour and love one another as best we can.

Pastoral care happens quite naturally amongst most people. At St John's we also have a pastoral team who are available to visit and support anyone in need. Liz, our pastoral worker and Steve, our minister are both part of that team.

If you are lonely or going through a difficult time and would like to talk to someone from the church please contact us and we will arrange to meet with you. Perhaps you would like someone to pray with you or for you - let us know and we will be glad to do so.
​
Perhaps you have a gift in listening to others or skills in counselling and would like to use your gifts on behalf of the church - we would love to discuss the possibilities with you.

We don't pretend to be perfect - we are far from it - but with God's help we seek to support one another in love.
